Quickstart

Follow these steps to set up Oystack for grounded research.
1

Log in to your account

Navigate to Oystack and sign in to enter your research workspace.
2

Create or open a collection

Use the Hub to create a collection for the project, topic, or deliverable you want to work on. This gives your sources and notes a clear home from the start.
3

Add source material

Upload PDFs, Word documents, drafts, or notes you want Oystack to work from. If you are reading papers online, you can also import them by DOI and bring them into your library for later use.
4

Start a grounded conversation

Open chat and ask a research question, request a summary, or compare ideas across your sources. Choose the mode that fits the work: regular chat, library research, or web research.
5

Read, verify, and draft

When Oystack cites a source, open the reference to inspect the original document in context. Then move into notes to capture findings, draft with citations, and keep your research close at hand.
