Reminders and Due Dates

Reminders help you keep a note tied to a real deadline. Instead of tracking research tasks somewhere else, you can keep due dates inside the same workspace where the note lives.

When reminders are useful

Use reminders when a note is connected to:
  • a submission deadline
  • a revision pass you do not want to forget
  • a follow-up reading task
  • a meeting, review, or handoff

Adding a due date

1

Open the note

Go to the note you want to track.
2

Add a due date

Use the due date control near the top of the note and choose a date that matches your deadline or follow-up window.
3

Optional: add a short reminder note

Add a small note if you want to capture what the reminder is for.

Quick ways to schedule

Depending on the note, you can set reminders for:
  • today
  • tomorrow
  • next week
  • a custom date
This makes it easy to keep lightweight deadlines in motion without leaving your writing flow.

Clearing or updating a reminder

You can update the date when plans change or clear the reminder when the note no longer needs a deadline.
Reminders work best for active notes. If a note has turned into archive material, clear the reminder and keep the note focused on the content itself.
